Adele’s Income Dropped More Than $13 Million In 2019 After Not Releasing Music Since 2015
Singer Adele’s music hiatus is costing her millions.
She hasn’t released an album since 2015 and made 10 million sterling pounds less in 2019 (which equals more than $13 million in USD).
In 2018, the singer made roughly $19 million but took a massive cut last year. Still, the singer has two business that helped her still make money in 2019. She paid herself more than $6 million from dividends from her businesses. Adele’s previous albums and singles, coupled with sales from her 2016-2017 tour are still coming in making the singer worth more than $243 million, according to The Daily Mail.
Adele currently has three albums under her belt, titled, 19, 21, and her latest album 25, which was released in 2015 sold 22 million copies.
Although it is reported that Adele has begun working on her new album, it doesn’t seem like it will be coming any time soon.
A few months ago, the singer told fans that she had “no idea” when she would be releasing a new album. She shared a photo of a book cover with a lengthy caption, and some fans commented and said they thought she was finally releasing information about her highly-anticipated project.

One fan boldly asked her,
“Adele where’s the album?”
She responded,
“I honestly have no idea”

Adele has stayed unapologetic about not knowing what’s going on with her album. She had a candid response for a fan who asked her about the album in June. They asked if a simple smiley face tweet was a hint toward the project, and even wondered if would be released that day. She wrote,
“Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.”

Her loyal fans have been waiting for new music since her smash hit 25 was released in 2015, which featured the award-winning song “Hello.”
