Dr. Dre Files Prenup In Ongoing Divorce Battle, Estranged Wife Nicole Young To Get Spousal Support

The prenup drama between Dr. Dre and his estranged wife Nicole Young continues.

As previously reported, Nicole Young challenged the prenup over their union, stating that Dr. Dre allegedly forced her to sign it. She also alleged that he tore up the prenup.

Now, Dr. Dre has presented the infamous prenup. According to TMZ, the prenup states the only way it can be changed or voided is in writing, which Young has not presented yet. The prenup also states that the property the exes have purchased since getting married in 1996 will be separated. They’ll each get to keep their own respective properties that they acquired on their own.

Under the prenup, Nicole Young didn’t forfeit her right to spousal support, so she could get a monthly payment if the court decides the document is valid. It’s not clear how much the monthly support will be, but Nicole Young made headlines when she requested $2 million a month.

Still, Dr. Dre’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, pointed out that he has voluntarily paid for expenses like her Malibu home, security, and cash, ever since they split. According to his accountant, her expenses only add up o $293,306 a month.

At the same time, Young’s attorneys want $5 million in legal fees, which Dr. Dre also said is ridiculously too high, He said he’s paid millions in her legal costs and noted that divorce papers were just filed in June. But Young’s lawyers sent him a bill that said they’re owed $1.5 million so far.

He also denies her allegations that he physically and emotionally abused her.
