Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Calls Out ‘Racist, Sexist Clown’ Who Commented On Her Weight
Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian has no problem proving he has her back and his recent comments for a former tennis star are no different.
Ion Tiriac, an ex-professional tennis player who’s now the director of the Madrid Open, reportedly insulted Serena Williams while on a Romanian television show.
He said, according to TMZ:
“Serena was a sensational player. If she had a little decency, she would retire! From all points of view. At this age and the weight she is now, she does not move as easily as she did 15 years ago.”
This isn’t his first comment about Serena Williams. In 2018, he also made similar remarks against her and said:
“I would like to see something else, I would like to see a player like Steffi Graf.”
Serena Williams responded to his statements back then and said:
“I always say people are entitled to their opinion. Clearly, there’s more to women’s tennis than me. There’s a lot more, but I’ll have words with him, believe me, I’ll have words with him. It’s an ignorant comment, and it’s a sexist comment, and maybe he’s an ignorant man.”
This time, Alexis Ohanian has stepped in as he responded to the recent comments on social media. He wrote:
“2021 and no holding back when a racist/sexist clown with a platform comes for my family.”

He later defended calling Ion Tiriac racist.

He also said he doesn’t care about Ion Tiriac’sopinion as he pointed out the athlete hasn’t won any Grand Slams.

What do you think about Alexis Ohanian defending his wife? Comment and let us know.
