Wendy Williams Says She Has ‘No Regrets’ About Relationship With Ex-Husband Kevin Hunter

Wendy Williams is set to release her biopic Wendy Williams: The Movie this month and the TV host is getting candid on her breakup with her ex-husband Kevin Hunter. Wendy Williams filed for divorce after Kevin Hunter reportedly got his mistress pregnant.

Still, Wendy said recently  that she has no regrets about her relationship with Kevin Hunter.

“The life that I’m living right now is my best life, and I have no guilt about saying that. I don’t regret meeting Kevin, I don’t regret falling in love, I don’t regret staying with him for all 25 years, 21 of them married.”

Adding,

“I like who I am, so I have no regrets.”

Wendy filed divorce docs in April 2019 after 21 years of marriage. The former couple shares 20-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr.

Although Wendy says that her divorce was “about a good 10 years in the making,” she adds that she stayed in the relationship to make a solid foundation for her son, Kevin Jr.

“The bigger the talk show got and the more I would look into my son’s eyes and see the things that he needed regarding having his father present in the home, and his mother and the family foundation, the more I decided to give of myself.”

The TV host continues and says that Kevin, Sr. had no hand in the creation of her biopic, but fans can look forward to it being “very truthful.”

“I was able to clear up half-truths and untruths.  Just when you think you know, you watch a biopic and you learn a whole lot more — and for mine, I wanted to be very truthful.”

Wendy Williams: The Movie, will show her journey of reaching heights in her career to her former relationship, and even her substance abuse.  It premieres Saturday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
