Eve To Star In Pilot For ABC Drama ‘Queens’, Will Also Write Music For Series

Eve has moved on to her next project after leaving The Talk last year.

She has landed a lead role in Queens, an upcoming drama pilot for ABC. The series will tell the story of a ’90s girl group, Nasty B****es, that gets back together when the members are in their 40s. Eve’s character, Brianna, is a 42-year-old rapper turned housewife with five children. In her prime, she was known as Professor Sex and rapped about money, sex, and her fabulous life. While her life has changed and the group is a thing of the past, Brianna is happy. Still, she gets the chance to reunite with the girls, leaving her with the choice to go back or stay a domestic woman.

Eve is also slated to write and perform the songs for her character.

Eve announced she was leaving The Talk in November. She served as a co-host for four years.

She told her co-hosts,

This is one of the hardest decisions in the world because I wish I hated one of you, but I don’t. I have had the most beautiful experience. I’ve grown as a woman, as a person. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, I never thought that being on a talk show would be this much of an opening of my spirit, soul, personality, everything. Sitting on stage with all you women has been the best thing ever. I truly love you.”

She added that she wanted to spend more time with her family.

“We’re [England is] on another lockdown from Thursday, and that’s another reason, obviously staying home has been such a blessing because my husband and I got to know each other in a different way, a beautiful way. So I want to be closer to him. I want to concentrate on expanding our family, being with my family.”
