Meagan Good Says Her ‘Heart Breaks’ For Criticism Against Chloe Bailey: Tell Them To Get Over It

Meagan Good has faced her own backlash for her image in the past. Now, she’s empathizing with singer and actress Chloe Bailey who recently became the target of criticism for partaking in the Bust It Challenge on social media.

Chloe Bailey tearfully addressed the negative comments shortly after.

“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable. And I’m telling myself that’s not what I’m going to do…”

She added,

“…I feel like I’ve shown my a– more than I have with that like if you look at our performance videos, the last performance we had in December. Like, I was just so excited and on stage, and just being myself, so… I don’t know.”

She continued,

“I just felt it was important to address it, so you guys get to kind of know who I am inside. And it’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly. So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”

She has a friend in Meagan Good, who told Hello Beautiful that she can relate.

“It breaks my heart to see her have to go through that. And again, getting free of what other people think of you is a process. You know, it depends on the person. Depends on how they download things – what it feels like to their spirit – so you can’t just tell them to get over it.”

She continued,

“The truth is these people don’t determine your destiny, these people don’t determine your purpose. They don’t determine the call that God has on your life. The only way for you to continue to walk in that purpose and that destiny and that calling is to be authentically yourself and knowing that along the way, some people are not going to get it and that’s okay.”
