Chloe Bailey Tearfully Addresses Criticism After Posting Sultry Videos: I Used To Think I Was Fat
Chloe Bailey of singing duo Chloe X Halle got emotional as she confronted the backlash she’s received lately.
Fans of the two noticed that they each got their own Instagram pages recently, and Chloe Bailey has been using hers to show off her physique. While it’s gotten her lots of criticism, the 22-year-old Grownish star has responded.

She addressed the criticism in an Instagram video and said,
“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable. And I’m telling myself that’s not what I’m going to do…”
She referenced a video she shared of her saving while wearing a t-shirt and underwear and added,
“…even when I posted the video yesterday, I posted it because I was saging and doing Palo Santa and I was like, ‘Let’s spread positive vibes.’”

She added,
“I didn’t even really notice you guys were talking about my a– because I was like, ‘OK, I’m just walking in from one second, two seconds…’ And I feel like I’ve shown my a– more than I have with that like if you look at our performance videos, the last performance we had in December. Like, I was just so excited and on stage, and just being myself, so… I don’t know.”
She continued,
“I just felt it was important to address it, so you guys get to kind of know who I am inside. And it’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly. So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”

She previously said during an Instagram Live with Halle Bailey, who’s in London filming for The Little Mermaid, that much of the content she’s posting was already shared on her fake Instagram (finsta) account with 50 of their close friends.
“Well, you saw that [already] because that was on my finsta. ‘Cause I’ve had it on my finsta for like four months. Almost half of the content on the page is already on my finsta. And you and like 50 of my other friends know, and then that’s about it.”

Halle Bailey showed her support and said,
“Can I just say to everybody on this live? Everyone is now seeing my sister, the other side of my sister that is just, oh my God, so amazing, sexy, everything in between, right? This sister, me, my family, and all my super-close friends have seen for a superlong time.”
Chloe also trended on Twitter after her tearful video as celebrities and fans showed their support.
