Nicki Minaj’s Stepmother Sues Hit-And-Run Driver Who Killed Her Father For $150 Million

Nicki Minaj’s Stepmother Sues Hit-And-Run Driver Who Killed Her Father For $150 Million
Nicki Minaj’s stepmother is taking legal action against the hit-and-run driver who is accused of killing the rapper’s father.
As previously reported, Robert Maraj tragically died in a hit-and-run accident last month.
Charles Polevich, 70, turned himself in to police. He was charged with leaving the scene of an incident involving the death of a person and tampering with or suppressing physical evidence. Both are felonies. Charles Polevich was driving his 1992 white Volvo at Roslyn Rd. and Raff Ave. in Mineola when he allegedly hit Maraj, who was on foot, with the vehicle. According to reports, he
“then exited his vehicle stood over the victim asked him if ‘he was ok,’ walked and returned to his vehicle and fled the scene.”
The Grammy-nominated rapper’s stepmom has hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump, and sued Polevich for $150 million, alleging he wasn’t paying attention and drove recklessly before he struck Robert Maraj.
Ben Crump called out Polevich on Twitter and wrote:
“Paul Napoli and I have filed a $150 million lawsuit in the hit-and-run death of Robert Maraj, @NICKIMINAJ‘s father. Charles Polevich was not only irresponsible & negligent in hitting Maraj, but was more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help.”
He added,“Polevich’s behavior was criminal, cowardly, and immoral. We will hold him responsible for his reckless actions that led to Robert Maraj’s death!”
Nicki Minaj has not publicly spoken on the loss.
Continued prayers for Nicki Minaj and her family.
