Niecy Nash Says She’s ‘Never Been With A Woman Before’ Marrying Jessica Betts + Reveals Her Children’s Reaction

Niecy Nash is opening up about her marriage to musician Jessica Betts, and clearing the air on any speculation concerning their romance.

Niecy Nash is the latest celebrity to sit down with Jada Pinkett Smith for her Red Table Talk series. During a sneak peek of the episode that will air Wednesday (March 31st), Niecy Nash discusses her marriage to Jessica Betts, revealing how she found love with a woman after two marriages to men.

She said prior to finding love with Jessica Betts, who’s also in the episode, she had,

“never been with a woman before.”

She also revealed how her children -Dia, 21, Donielle, 25, and son Dominic, 28 – who she had with her first husband Pastor Don Nas, reacted to the news.

“My daughters were like, ‘Wait what?’ My youngest daughter, she reminded me, she was like, ‘Wait a minute mom, are you the same mom that was like girl, I’m strictly d***ly?’ And I was like, ‘Wah, wah. Like yeah, but no.’ “

She added,

“My son was like, ‘Wooow.'”

Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts tied the knot in August 2020 in a surprise ceremony.

Shortly after, Niecy Nash addressed reports she was “coming out.”

She said in September 2020,

“I was not suppressing my sexuality my whole life. I love who I love. At one point in my life, I married twice and I love those people. And today I love this person. I’ve done everything I wanted to do on my own terms and my own way. So my choice now in a partner has nothing to do with who I’ve always been. It’s a matter of who I am in this moment.”
