Speaking about her project, Lil’ Kim said,
“I’m excited to finally get to tell my story after all this time.”
She continued,
“Many people have thought they knew the story of Lil’ Kim, but they have no idea.”
Lil’ Kim–born Kimberly Denise Jones–was raised in Brooklyn. She was initially known as the ‘Lieutenant’ of Junior M.A.F.I.A., rapping alongside Biggie Smalls on hits like “Get Money.”
However, upon the release of her 1996 debut solo album Hard Core, Lil’ Kim went on to make a name for herself within the rap industry. As a result of her trailblazing efforts and unapologetic lyrical style, the “Big Momma Thang” rapper went on to inspire future generations of female rappers.
With the release of The Queen Bee on November 2nd, fans will get the opportunity to have a personal look into Lil’ Kim‘s life and experiences. Her memoir is available for pre-order via Hachette Books’ website.
