Saweetie Opens Up About Ignoring Internet Comments After Quavo Split: I Could Give My Attention To Something That Could Drain Me, Or Focus On What Would Empower Me
We now know what Saweetie was doing when she confirmed that she and Migos rapper Quavo broke up via Twitter.
As previously reported, reports first swirled that the two broke up after more than two years of dating when they unfollowed one another on social media.

Shortly after, Saweetie confirmed the news on social media.

Quavo also publicly took issue with Saweetie’s tweets.
Now, it turns out Saweetie, who serves as the cover girl for the latest issue of W Magazine, was getting her makeup done for the shoot.
She said in a portion of the interview that was held the same day,
“I’ve learned that the world doesn’t stop for anybody. And it’s for sure not going to stop for me just because I got my heart broke. I was grateful to be doing the photo shoot. I was like, I can deal with all this later.”
She later said she stopped paying attention to comments and criticism about the breakup. She continued,
“I could give my attention to something that could drain me, or I could focus on what would empower me. And that is this shoot.”
