Kim Kardashian Says She Doesn’t ‘Want To Explain’ Who Ex-Husband Kris Humphries Is To Her Kids

Kim Kardashian’s life before marriage and children continues to be in the spotlight thanks to social media and Keeping Up With The Kardashians reruns.

Still, she’s not ready to explain the details of her life, including a brief marriage to Kris Humphries, to her daughter, North West, 7.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries were infamously married for 72 days in 2011. While she filed for divorce after just a couple of months, things weren’t finalized until April 2013. During the gap, she started dating rapper Kanye West, and the two welcomed their oldest child, North West, on June 15, 2013.

Now that North West is coming into her own, Kim Kardashian said she’s getting more familiar with their reality TV show thanks to TikTok. Kim Kardashian tells Scott Disick in a teaser for an upcoming episode of KUWTK that North West often asks about certain moments.

“I think clips on TikTok. She sees it’s a popular TikTok where they do the crying scene from Bora Bora. Pretty much all my crying scenes. So she sees that stuff and she’ll come in and go ‘Mom, I lost my earrings.’ She’ll do that as a joke and I’m just like, ‘You have no idea what that is.'”

She continued,

“I don’t really want to explain, like, who Kris Humphries is.”

Scott Disick shared his thoughts and said,

“But that is your life. That is your past and at some point they’re gonna be interested in seeing everything. They’re either gonna do it without us or with us.”

She replied,

“I’d rather do it with [them]. I’d rather be that parent. But I’m just not ready.”

She also said,

“I think just because I’m going to have to — me, personally, I’ll have to [explain] a lot.”
