Tiffany Haddish Is In The Process Of Adopting A Child

Tiffany Haddish is preparing to be a mom through the process of adopting. Comedian/actress Tiffany Haddish, 41, has previously spoken about what it was like being placed in foster care as a young child. During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tiffany Haddish revealed that adoption is “super important” to her “for a multitude of reasons.” She continued and explained in depth why she’s decided to adopt.

“I’m currently looking, deciding on adopting. First of all, especially after this pandemic, there are so many children left without their parents. There are a lot of people that need to be loved. It’s Foster Care Awareness Month right now, and I think we all should be aware and try to do what we can.”

Tiffany added that she initially wanted to be a foster parent but because she’s a household name her lawyer suggested that she adopt instead.

“I really wanted to be a foster parent, but because I’m at a certain level of success, my lawyer suggested that it’s probably best to just adopt, and I’m in that process now.”

The ‘Girls Trip’ actress also shared that she’d looking to adopt an older child.

“I want to get somebody that’s five and up. You know, already knows how to use the restroom, already knows how to talk, already knows how to communicate. All I want to do is pour knowledge in … (and) get them ready for the big, bad world. That’s what I want to do.”

This isn’t the first time that Tiffany has shared her plans on motherhood. Last month the comedian touched on her adoption plans while on E!’s Daily Pop. During her interview, Tiffany also revealed that to financially support herself at 21, she made the decision to sell a lot of her eggs.

“I already gave up – here goes something everybody don’t know, I’m gonna tell you – When I was 21 I was really hard up for some money and I gave up a bunch of eggs.”

She jokingly added that there’s a possibility of there being mini-versions of herself out there.

“So who knows, I might got some kids out there in these streets. I doubt it, though, because I never got a bonus. Maybe somewhere though…”
