Falynn Guobadia Didn’t Believe Simon & Porsha Were Engaged At First: My Husband Would Never Do That To Me + Doesn’t Blame ‘RHOA’ Star For Divorce

Falynn Guobadia shared her truth in a recent interview, and she took the opportunity to clarify and dish on various reported topics.

Yesterday (Thursday, June 10th), Falynn Guobadia sat down with YouTuber Adam Newell (Up and Adam!), and laid it all on the table. During the interview, she said that she did not blame Porsha Williams for her divorce from Simon Guobadia. As you may recall, the pair announced their engagement a few weeks following the Guobadias‘ divorce announcement.

Regarding her stance on whether Porsha Williams was to blame, Falynn Guobadia said:

“No one has that power over my life, my husband’s life, and our marriage. Simon and I were the ones who were married to one another. We’re the ones who created a family together and built a life with one another. I blame the both of us. He is to blame, I am to blame, and that is all. Whatever came after that–not saying it was right, not saying it was wrong–but no, no one has that power.”

Staying on the topic of Simon Guobadia‘s engagement to Porsha Williams, Falynn also claimed she found out when the rest of the world did:

“I found out [about their engagement] the same time as everyone else. I did not know. As a matter of fact, I remember receiving a phone call around 8 a.m. that morning when everything started making headlines and someone said to me, ‘Simon and Porsha, they’re engaged,’ and I remember arguing with them. I said, ‘No, my husband is a lot of things but he would never do that to me. That is just not who he is.'”

Then, Falynn claimed to be uncertain of why the pair divorced in the first place, claiming she “worked d*mn hard to keep [her] marriage”:

“I don’t necessarily have the answers… Within our marriage, it was hard work. When it came to my marriage, like most women, I was very tenacious. I worked d*mn hard to keep my marriage. It’s just like he gave up. I tried. I can go down the list of all the things I tried to make sure that my husband was happy and that I was happy at the same time and that the children were happy.”

She said they went to couple’s therapy various times. While doing so, she also revealed a jaw-dropping comment Simon Guobadia allegedly made:

“Simon and I are not new to couple’s therapy. During one of our therapy sessions, I will never forget it–I’ve never forgotten it, actually–the therapist asked him, ‘Have you ever cheated on Falynn? Would you ever cheat on Falynn?’ [In response, he stated] ‘Simon doesn’t get caught unless Simon wants to get caught.'”

It’s also worth noting that Falynn denied ever cheating on Simon. However, she did not go into the recent rumors on the topic, but–as the interview was taped beforehand–the rumors may have not been circulating at the time of filming.

Despite what the former couple has been going through, Falynn claimed she wished Simon the best, although it hurts. However, she revealed that losing her relationship with her stepchildren was what was hardest for her to leave:

“I meant what I said when I took my vows and I meant what I said when told Simon I loved him unconditionally. If he’s happy, then I don’t care… If my husband is happy, then okay. It hurts. It hurts like hell.”

She continued:

“I’m going to miss our boys. They’re all so different from one another. It’s hard but I’m going to miss it. And tucking them in at night. Our trips and Christmas…”

Segueing to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Falynn revealed that she was not asked back due to the infamous moment when she came at LaToya Ali with a golf club. She also claimed she “felt used” by production, and alleged that her incident with LaToya Ali went down due to being called an anti-Asian slur multiple times while in her own home.

Despite all that transpired for her this past year, Falynn proceeded to claim she was optimistic for what the future holds:

“I’m a firm believer [that] everything happens for a reason and my knight in shining armor is out there and hopefully he’ll come in due time.”
