Kim Kardashian Reveals What Caused Her To Divorce Kanye West In ‘KUWTK’ Series Finale + Fails ‘Baby Bar’ Again
The final episode of E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians included Kim Kardashian having a reflective moment about her marriage with Kanye West and failing the baby bar for a second time.
In one emotional clip, her mother Kris Jenner said she was “worried” about her as Kim Kardashian ironed out the inner workings of her then troubled marriage to Kanye West.
She told Kris Jenner,
“I’m going to a therapist. Let me work on myself and see where I’m at – and that’s what I’m so excited for, just like, waking up at 40 and realizing like, I just want total happiness.”
Kim Kardashian added,
“I know obviously complete bliss is like, not a full reality, but if I can have it more of the majority of the time, that’s all I want to do, wherever that takes me. just want my pure happiness, so that’s what I’m working on figuring out how to get there. I just feel like I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I’ve wanted to, and I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved 10 times more than I even thought was humanly possible.”
She made reference to her status with Kanye West and said,
“But I don’t have a life to share that with. Like, I do – obviously my kids and everything – but am I just gonna sit here and think, ‘Okay, my kids fulfill me, and I’m good?'”
She said living apart from Kanye West, who was lives in Wyoming while she resides in Los Angeles, was a turning point.
“I never thought I was lonely … I always thought that’s totally fine, I could just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state. And I just am on this ride with him, and I was okay with that and then after turning 40 this year, I realized like, ‘No, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state to me.’ I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s when we’re getting along the best,’ but then that is sad to me, and that’s not what I want.”
She continued,
“I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me every single day … the little things are what I don’t have. I have all the big things. I have the extravagant, everything you could possibly imagine – and no one will ever do it like that, I know that, you know what I mean? And I’m grateful for those experiences – but I think I’m ready for the smaller experiences that I think will mean a lot.”
Kris Jenner then told her,
“I just want you to be happy and joyful. And I think I haven’t seen that in a really long time.”
Kim agreed and replied,
“Yeah, and I’m ready too, whatever that is, like, I’m not rushing it. I’m not like, I don’t have any final decisions that I want to make.”
Kris Jenner later told cameras,
“It breaks my heart because I just want [Kim and Kanye] to be happy. And I want her to be joyful, and have the best relationship that she can possibly have. And she has four beautiful kids. So I just want them to be happy.”
Kim consoles her mom and said,
“Don’t cry. So much to be happy about! I’m not like, gonna have a breakdown and cry when you leave. I’m numb like, I’m tired of that, but I do know that I will be happy. I didn’t come this far just to come this far, and not be happy.”
Also in the episode, Kim revealed she failed the baby bar exam for a second time. The difficult test is taken for first-year legal students in California who aren’t enrolled at accredited schools but are instead learning through private tutors. She told her lawyers in one scene,
“I failed! F***! I failed. This is really annoying.”
She explained that her score was “pretty much the same thing…[but] a little bit worse” than when she failed it the first time.
She revealed she failed the test for the first time in a previous episode last month.
