French Montana’s Driver Attacked & Robbed At Gunpoint Outside Manhattan Hotel, Culprits Take Off With Luxurious Watch & Chain
Rapper French Montana‘s driver was reportedly robbed of about $340,000 worth of jewelry while on the job.
Yesterday (Sunday, June 13th), two men in black masks reportedly approached French Montana‘s driver just before 5 a.m. He was standing outside his car, which was parked outside the Dream Hotel. French Montana was reportedly staying in the high-end establishment–located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York.
Upon approaching the young driver, the perps allegedly struck him before attempting to snatch his $40,000 Cuban link chain. After the driver put up a fight, one of the assailants allegedly pulled a gun and fired into the pavement, prompting the young man to comply. As a result, he was allegedly robbed of his aforementioned chain as well as his $300,000 Richard Mille watch.
There are no suspects at the moment, and French Montana has not publicly commented on the matter.
The rapper was allegedly in New York City to record the visuals for his latest song, “FWMGAB” (F**k With Me, Get A Bag). The official music video for the track, called the “song of the summer” by Sean “Diddy” Combs, dropped this past Friday (June 11th).
This robbery comes just three days after a 25-year-old Brooklyn man was gunned down outside of the Dream Hotel. Reportedly, Byron Morales was leaving Tao Downtown Restaurant and–as he was passing the high-end hotel–he was fatally shot in the torso on Thursday (June 10th).
