Mary J. Blige Has No Plans To Do A Verzuz Battle: I Don’t Know What It Could Do For Me
Just days after Mary J. Blige and Toni Braxton were rumored to do a Verzuz together, Mary J. Blige is making it clear participating in the hit-for-hit battle isn’t on her to-do list.
As previously reported, rumors swirled that Mary J. Blige and Toni Braxton would be doing a Verzuz against each other after a graphic surfaced online.

But the official Verzuz Twitter page shut it down quickly.

While some fans still held out hope, it doesn’t look like Mary J. Blige will ever join the roster.
She said while on The Breakfast Club yesterday (June 24th),
“I don’t know what a Verzuz would do for me.”
The hosts tried to convince her that it’s about the culture, but the Power Book II: Ghost actress didn’t seem pressed.
“I’m not sure what a Verzuz could do for Mary J. Blige right now, but um, right now, it’s not something that’s on the top of my list.”

Her statements were met with mixed reactions from fans – some who pointed out iconic singers like Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, and The Isley Brothers have participated.
