Update #3 (July 1st): Liza Morales has responded to Lamar Odom’s social media post.

She called out the former NBA star and his manager for “lies and inaccuracies” they shared on social media.

She added,

“Lamar should have showed up to court yesterday. He could have raised his right hand, ad provided the numbers and information to the judge. Actually, Lamar couldn’t do that, because he would have had to lie to the court.”

She continued,

‘It’s really disgusting that [his manager] Tonita ByBee and Lamar continue to run to social media to try to control the narrative. You spit falsehoods to the people that don’t know all the facts. It’s quite deceptive of the both of you.”

“Celebrity culture is a mind game, that can easily make you fall into the trap. I wish we could celebrate the character of a person, not just the talents, name recognition, or amount of followers one has on social media.”

She concluded,

“Stop running to social media and address the issues like civilized adults!”

Update #2 (June 30th): Lamar Odom has taken to social media, reacting to reports of him allegedly skipping out on his child support payments to the mother of his children, Liza Morales. He writes,

I never air out my personal business because it’s personal but I have had enough.

I was never married to my kids mother. I took care of her from the second she became pregnant and even after I was married I still paid her bills. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE for a GROWN ASS WOMAN!! Once my children became adults my duties were done! I told her to GO TO WORK! MOVE into an affordable home, she didn’t listen and that is NOT on ME!

The news, the media, the public loves to vilify a man, call him deadbeat, say how terrible he is as a man but what about a woman who refuses to get off her ass and make a living for herself? She is just as responsible for taking care of our now ADULT children as I was so why isn’t she held to the same standard?

Enough is enough. I do not get pension from the NBA until I’m 46. I do not own a CBD line, I did not get paid $40k from Celebrity Boxing ? ?

Original story: Lamar Odom isn’t getting any sympathy for allegedly skipping out on his child support payments!

According to Page Six, a video hearing was held yesterday (Tuesday, June 29th) to discuss a child support case filed against the former NBA star. The mother of his children, Liza Morales, claims Lamar Odom has not honored their 2015 child support agreement–stating he hasn’t paid anything since last year. Allegedly, Lamar Odom owes Liza Morales $91,000 for 13 months of child support. Adding fuel to the fire, his children’s mother also claimed Lamar Odom earned $40,000 for his recent boxing match against Aaron Carter.

In addition to the child support, Liza Morales also claims Lamar is about $83,000 behind on the rent for the Lower Manhattan apartment where she lives with their kids. As a result, the family is allegedly facing the risk of eviction. On top of that, Lamar Odom also allegedly owes nearly $24,000 for his children’s college fees.

In response to Liza Morales‘ claims, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper stated:

“If Mr. Odom is in good enough shape to participate in a boxing match, he’s certainly in good enough shape to abide by his obligations to support his children as set forth in the settlement agreement.”

He continued, taking aim at how Lamar Odom‘s choices could affect his brand:

“I will just offer the observation that if Mr. Odom wants to have a brand that means anything, it should be one where the person behind the brand pays to support his children and doesn’t leave his children in danger of being evicted.”

Ultimately, because Lamar Odom failed to attend the virtual hearing, Judge Matthew Cooper granted a default judgment against him. As a result, Lamar Odom is now responsible for paying Liza Morales everything she claims she’s owed, as well as covering her attorney fees. Following his decision, the judge told Liza:

“If Mr. Odom received money from his celebrity match, I’m sure you’d want to get a judgement so you can take action as soon as possible.”
