Kanye West Hosts ‘Donda’ Listening Party, Reunites w/ Jay-Z, Estranged Wife Kim Kardashian Attends W/ Children + Rapper Honored W/ Own Day In Atlanta

Kanye West‘s release party for Donda–named after his late mother–appears to have gone well!

Yesterday (Thursday, July 22nd), Kanye West presented his Donda album to about 42,000 people in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Of the 42,000 attendees, roughly 5,000 were HBCU students who received the tickets for free. While the listening party was scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m., it reportedly didn’t actually start until almost 10:00 p.m.

Kanye West remained largely silent at the event, simply allowing his tracks to play over the stadium’s speakers. Throughout the listening party, the rapper was highly noticeable in an all-red outfit against a white background.

Among those in attendance were his estranged wife Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian, who posted photos and videos of the event to their Instagram stories.

Additionally, an Instagram upload by influencer Lana Rae revealed Kim Kardashian was clad in an all-red jumpsuit for the event–matching with Kanye West.

Rick Ross also attended Kanye West‘s Donda listening party.

Notably, those in attendance were the first to hear Kanye West and Jay-Z reunite on a track. Jay-Z‘s verse, in part, was as follows:

“God in my cells, that’s celly. Made in the image of God, that’s a selfie. Pray five times a day, so many felonies. Who gon’ post my bail, Lord help me. Donda, I’m with your baby when I touch back road. Told ’em stop all of that red cap, we goin’ home. Not me with all of these sins, casting stones. This might be the return of The Throne, Throne. Hova and Yeezus like Moses and Jesus. You’re not in control of my thesis.”
