Update #2: Erykah Badu is issuing a public apology. Today (August 12th), the singer took to twitter apologizing to former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. It appears that she may be apologizing for taking photos and sharing them on social media of Obama’s 60th birthday party. She tweets,

“Mr. And Mrs. Obama , Please forgive me 4 being the “terrible guest “ at such a sacred event for your family.”

She continues,

“I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT ‘ to be …… erica”.

Badu has since deleted the images from her social media account.

Original Story: Barack Obama celebrated his birthday with a star-studded party–and he was serious about no photography being allowed!

This past Saturday (August 7th), Barack Obama celebrated his 60th birthday with a party in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The event, which was reportedly downsized due to the delta variant of COVID-19, was attended by various celebrities. Among those in attendance were stars like Jay-ZBeyoncéJohn LegendChrissy TeigenDwayne Wade, and Gabrielle UnionErykah BaduQuestloveAlicia KeysGeorge ClooneySteven Spielberg, and Bruce Springsteen were also reportedly at the event. Additionally, rapper Trap Beckham served as the DJ, and he was joined by his manager, TJ Chapman.

During their time at Barack Obama‘s party, Trap Beckham and TJ Chapman posted various behind-the-scenes pictures of the event. However, they revealed they ultimately had to delete all their photos from the event due to regulations. Regarding this, Trap Beckham claimed:

“Had to delete everything due to the rules. It was epic for sure. If any videos surface, it’s going viral. He danced the whole time. Nobody ever seen Obama like this before.”

However, it should be noted that Trap Beckham and TJ Chapman weren’t the only ones to post footage from the event. Erykah Badu also posted video from the party that showed Barack Obama dancing. However, she deleted it soon after. You can watch the video down below:
