EXCLUSIVE: Jay-Z Was  Not At Kanye West’s Second Listening Event For ‘Donda’ Despite Rumors

Despite the speculation, theJasmineBRAND EXCLUSIVELY reports that Jay-Z was not at Kanye West‘s second Donda listening party.

Yesterday (Thursday, August 5th), Kanye West hosted his second listening party for Donda. On top of the many stars who were in attendance, rumors circulated that Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) was also at the event. The rumor appears to have been started by an Instagram post made by musician Geovanni Chevelle. The post showed Jay-Z‘s alleged private jet arriving in Atlanta, and it was captioned:

“Jay Z  just landed at Signature. Ye show about to be Lit tonight #Donda.”

However, our sources EXCLUSIVELY revealed that this is untrue.

Despite Jay-Z not being at either of Kanye West‘s listening parties, he is featured on a track on the upcoming Donda album. The song is titled “Jail”, and Jay-Z‘s verse is as follows:

“God in my cells, that’s my celly. Made in the image of God, that’s a selfie. Pray five times a day, so many felonies. Who gon’ post my bail, Lord help me. Donda, I’m with your baby when I touch back road. Told ’em stop all of that red cap, we goin’ home. Not me with all of these sins, casting stones. This might be the return of The Throne, Throne. Hova and Yeezus like Moses and Jesus. You’re not in control of my thesis.”

The verse continues:

“You already know what I think ’bout think pieces. Before you ask he already told you who he think he is. Don’t try to jail my thoughts and think pre-cents. I can’t be controlled with programs and presets–reset. On my cell, in my cell tonight. Don’t have to see you to touch you, this is what braille look like. It’s on sight, woo, woo, woo. If they take me to jail, call my girl, tell her send my mail. We know what Hell look like, still it’s a hell of a life, yikes.”

This revelation comes as Justin Laboy ignites rumors that Jay-Z and Kanye West are working on a Watch the Throne 2 album. The social media personality quote tweeted a question about Watch the Throne 2, and he claimed:

“HOV & YE back building again. They both rich enough to quit rapping, but the passion they share of making the fans happy got them back working.”

The original Watch the Throne album was released almost exactly a decade ago, and the collaboration was highly successful. It was supported by hit songs like “Otis” and “N***as in Paris.” Additionally, it was nominated for various awards, such as Best Rap Album at the 2012 Grammys. Watch the Throne was also named CD of the Year at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.
