Megan Thee Stallion Allowed To Release ‘Butter’ After Legal Battle W/ Label, Carl Crawford Seemingly Responds: Even When I Lose I Still Win

Update #1 (Aug. 25th): Megan Thee Stallion and Carl Crawford have issued cryptic messages as the rapper was given the green light to release her song Butter. 

Megan Thee Stallion used butter Emojis as she told fans Tuesday night (Aug. 24),

“Y’all don’t even understand how excited I am [butter Emojis] [flame Emojis] [crying Emojis]”

Carl Crawford shared a post of his own via his Instagram stories. He wrote,

“Even when I lose I still win… Don’t let that go over y’all head”

On Tuesday (Aug. 24th), a judge cleared Megan Thee Stallion to release the single. The judge ruled in court documents that “failure to enter a temporary restraining order at this time would cause irreparable injury.”

It added that Carl Crawford, 1501 Certified Entertainment, J. Prince, and 300 Entertainment

“have recently engaged and will continue to engage in conduct preventing the release of her new music, which would irreparably damage her goodwill, reputation, and overall music career and infringes on her rights to self-expression through her music.”

A new hearing on her restraining order is scheduled for Sept. 10.

Original Story: In newly obtained legal documents, Megan Thee Stallion claims her label is blocking her from releasing her new single and is now seeking help from the courts.

Megan Thee Stallion claims that her new single, which is a remix of mega k-pop group BTS‘ Butter is supposed to be released on Friday, Aug. 27 but her label 1501 Certified Entertainment and its owner, Carl Crawford are trying to stop it.

The H-Town rapper believes this song could expand her fan based but says 1501 doesn’t believe in the song and feels it won’t be good for her brand. In her claim, she also believes that their reason is a “cover-up” and that the label wants to shake her for six figures to clear the song’s release.

This is not the first time Megan Thee Stallion and her label have been to court. As previously reported, the Savage rapper claimed the label was blocking her music in retaliation as she tried to renegotiate her contract.

Megan got the courts to prohibit Carl Crawford and 1501 from blocking her music and she claims they are now in violation of that order.

Megan The Stallion wants the judge to step in so her new single can be released. She also wants the label to stop blocking her career and creative growth.
