The short trailer opens with brief clips from The Weeknd‘s performance. Then, it jumps to commentary from various production members who helped from behind the scenes. Emphasis appears to be placed on highlighting both the details and pressures that came with The Weeknd‘s Super Bowl LV performance.

The trailer for The Show dropped as The Weeknd revealed he was still boycotting the Grammys. As you may recall, the 31-year-old singer began his boycott in late 2020 after his After Hours album did not receive any Grammy nominations. He notably claimed:
“The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency…”

He later said he was boycotting the Grammy Awards despite it making changes to its nomination process. The Weeknd doubled-down on this sentiment recently, saying he was not submitting his work for Grammy consideration. His decision comes amid the massive success of his latest single, “Save Your Tears.”
