R&B Singer Jaheim Arrested For Animal Cruelty, 15 Emaciated Dogs Found In His Care

Jaheim is facing some legal troubles after authorities made a shocking discovery at his home.

Earlier this week, R&B singer Jaheim (full name Jaheim Hoagland) received a visit from New Jersey authorities. The officers were initially responding to a call regarding a “puppy in distress.”

Once authorities arrived at Jaheim‘s home, they found six dogs in the driveway. One of the dogs, a mixed-breed pit bull terrier, was found unresponsive within a water-filled crate. The dog later had to be euthanized. The authorities went on to state:

“Additional dogs were found inside of separate crates which were partially filled with several inches of water and dog feces.”

The officers then placed Jaheim under arrest. However, after doing so, they proceeded to find nine additional dogs within the “Put That Woman First” singer’s home. The animals were found “in varying stages of emaciation” and reportedly had no access to food or water. Two of these dogs had to be taken to an emergency veterinary clinic due to their poor condition.

All in all, a total of fifteen dogs were found in poor condition on Jaheim‘s property. Twelve of the animals, including the euthanized one, were mixed-breed pit bull terriers. Two of the other dogs were American Staffordshire terriers, and the remaining one was a mixed-breed Boxer.

All fourteen surviving dogs were taken to Long Hill Kennel in Hillsborough, New Jersey.

As a result of the officers’ findings, Jaheim has been charged with third-degree animal cruelty charges. He is currently awaiting a court hearing and has been booked into Somerset County Jail.

Jaheim‘s social media accounts are currently set to private, so it is unclear whether or not he has responded to the charges.
