Kanye West is making it clear: he wants his family unit back together again!
Yesterday (Wednesday, Nov. 24th), Kanye West delivered about 1,000 Thanksgiving meals to people on Skid Row. While doing so, the “Remote Control” rapper raised some eyebrows by referencing his family life and pending divorce from Kim Kardashian during a speech. He initially stated:
“The narrative that God wants is for you to see that everything can be redeemed. In all these relationships, we’ve made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband.”
Kanye West continued:
“But I’m here to change that narrative. I’m not letting E! write the narrative of my family–I’m not letting Hulu write the narrative of my family. I’m not letting Disney write the narrative of my family. I am the priest of my home. I have to be next to my children as much as possible. So when I’m out the house, I got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation.”
The 44-year-old then proceeded to get emotional and added:
“I’m tryna express this in the most sane way possible, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back at home. Because if the enemy can separate Kimye, there’s going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is okay.”
Kanye then said:
“But when the Kingdom–when God–brings Kimye together, there’s gonna be millions of families that are gonna be influenced and see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma the devil has used to capitalize to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store.”

Kanye‘s remarks come a few weeks after Kim Kardashian sparked dating rumors with comedian Pete Davidson. Since then, the pair has been spotted out and about together on various occasions, further fueling the speculation.
Shortly after the rumors began, Kanye memorably commented:
“I ain’t see the papers. We’re not even divorced… My kids want they parents to stay together. I want us to be together. She’s still my wife, it ain’t no paperwork.”
