Porsha Williams’ Fiancé Simon Guobadia Says He Is A “One Man One Wife Individual” While Speaking On His Cultural Upbringing

Porsha Williams’ fiancé Simon Guobadia is letting the world know that despite his cultural upbringing, he is a “one man one wife individual.”

Today (Dec. 9) Simon Guobadia, 57, took to his Instagram page and shared with his 169k followers that he isn’t going to allow his Nigerian culture to dictate how his marriage to Porsha Williams will be. In a text post, the businessman said that both his father and grandfather have had multiple wives but their polygyny lifestyles “bears no relevance” to his own life and personal thoughts on marriage.

He added more insight into his upbringing and Nigerian culture in the caption for the post. He wrote.

“My Nigerian culture and law allows for a man to have multiple wives, and this can vary by regions and part of Nigeria. The reality however is that most Nigerian relationships today are one man one wife. I have a responsibility to ensure I’m accurate in my utterances regardless of the platform I use to share my opinions and thoughts.”

Simon Guobadia IG post comes after it was revealed on Porsha Williams’ newest reality series, ‘Porsha’s Family Matters,’ that it’s a cultural norm within Simon’s family for men to be married to multiple women at the same time. As previously reported, Porsha addressed her fiancé’s family history during a recent stop at the ‘Tamron Hall show.’ She said.

“Let’s start with: he’s Nigerian. It’s his culture. They’re allowed and are open to having multiple wives. But, you know, Simon has been in America since he was 17 years old, and I’m American. So, we’re going to have one wife and one husband.”

Porsha and Simon shocked many people earlier this year when news broke that they were dating. Simon was previously married to Porsha’s ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ co-star Falynn Pina.

Soon after Porsha and Simon came out as a couple they made headlines once again this past May for announcing that they were engaged.
