Ex-NFL Player Zac Stacy Claims Alleged Footage Of Him Physically Hitting & Kicking Child’s Mother Was Staged: It’s Just A Case Of Just Bitterness

Zac Stacy had an eyebrow-raising explanation for the controversial footage of him that recently surfaced.

Former St. Louis Rams running back Zac Stacy’s shocking claims about the brutal beatdown he gave to his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child have been released. In his conversation with Orlando police on the night of his arrest, which was captured on a body camera, he stated:

“It’s just a case of just bitterness, man. That’s why she did this. The whole assault thing, she staged it. She set me up.”

He continued:

“The whole thing was staged. All she’s trying to do is get money out of me. She got a reaction out of me.”

Zac, 30, went on about his alleged mental health struggles, including anxiety and depression. He claims Kristin Evans, the woman he reportedly victimized, was well aware of his troubles. Zac also claimed that Kristin was upset because he no longer wanted to be with her. He added:

“She knew I was down, she knew I was going through anxiety and depression. She knew I was trying to close this gap that’s between me and my son and she’s just upset that she got caught and she’s upset I’m not taking care of him like she expected. And now she took it this far.”

Shortly after the video made its rounds on the internet, Kristin Evans uploaded a response to her Instagram story. Of her Ex’s accusation, she said:

“I don’t know how you can stage getting your ass beat…This is what abusers do. They will make you seem like you’re the crazy one and that they’re the victim.”

She highlighted the police officers’ consoling behavior towards Zac in the video and added:

“Everything about this makes me uncomfortable.”

Back in November, Kristin posted security camera footage of a man believed to be Zac Stacy bursting through her front door and assaulting her while their 5-month-old was present. Zac fled the state of Florida before he could be arrested, but he was later apprehended in Orange County. He was jailed there and now faces aggravated battery and criminal mischief charges. On the day of the attack, Zac was allegedly supposed to be spending time with his son.
