Janet Jackson Claims Brother Michael Jackson Made Fun Of Her Weight, Called Her A ‘Pig, Cow And Hog’

With Janet Jackson’s highly anticipated documentary quickly approaching, new details on the singers life are coming to the surface. In the upcoming documentary titled, “Janet”, the 55-year-old pop star opens up about her struggles with weight–which has fluctuated throughout her career–and revealed that her late brother, Michael Jackson often teased her for it. Janet claims that her mega star brother would make fun of her weight and even call her names.

“There were times when Mike used to tease me and call me names. Pig, horse, slut, or hog, cow…He would laugh about it, and I’d laugh too, but then there was somewhere down inside that it would hurt.

She continued,

“When you have somebody say you’re too heavy, it affects you.”

Janet Jackson also revealed that her weight issues began at the young age of 11-years-old when she was casted on the iconic sitcom “Good Times”. She joined the cast during the show’s fifth season playing the role of Penny–a young girl whom Willona adopts after she’s abandoned by her abusive mother.

“I did ‘Good Times’ and that’s the beginning of having weight issues and the way I looked at myself… I was developing at a very young age and I started getting a chest and they would bind it so I would look more flat-chested.”

Jackson admits that she’s an emotional eater and that itself has had a lasting effect on her.

“I’m an emotional eater, so when I get stressed or something is really bothering me, it comforts me.”

The two-part docu series –which was shot over the course of five years– shows Janet Jackson discussing her weight issues, career, love life, and much more about Michael, including his legal troubles and molestation accusations against him and how they impacted her career.

The two-part documentary will premiere on A&E and Lifetime this Friday January 28 at 8/7c!
