Mary J. Blige Only Able To Select One Song For Her Superbowl Performance: I’m Leaning Towards Family Affair
When news broke that “Be Without You” singer Mary J. Blige would be part of an all-star lineup for this years Superbowl performance, many fans were excited to strain their vocals singing along to popular songs from the artists extensive 30 year repertoire. However it seems fans will get to enjoy just one of the singer’s megahits as it’s been reported the grammy winning artist will only be able to choose just one song for the upcoming Superbowl LVI halftime performance.
She is set to share the stage with other Los Angeles musical legends such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem. Mary J. Blige says that she is leaning towards selecting Family Affair for her performance, since hip-hop has influenced family culture around the world. She states:
“We are the culture. We give people a way to walk. We give people a way to talk. We give people a way to think.”
As the Superbowl halftime show is just two weeks away not much time remains left for Mary J. Blige to deliberate on the perfect song. However whichever one she chooses we know will have the whole stadium crunk!
