Kwame Brown Trashes Dwyane Wade Over Daughters Kobe Bryant Tribute Dress: You’re Not Leveling Up As A Man

When it comes to NBA legend Dwyane Wade’s transgender daughter Zaya Wade, the ex Heat player has admitted to doing a lot of listening and learning in order to become a better parent. But that didn’t stop former NBA star Kwame Brown from completely discrediting his parenting style as he discussed Zaya Wade’s “disrespectful” jersey dress tribute to the late Kobe Bryant.

On the passing anniversary of Lakers icon Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant, long time family friends Dwyane Wade and his family posted beautiful tributes to honor their memory. 14 year old Zaya Wade took to Instagram in a number 8 jersey dress with the caption:

“Always remembering and honoring Kobe and Gianna.” 

The tribute apparently outraged ex Washington Wizards player Kwame Brown which he made apparent while discussing the matter on his Youtube series called “Bust Life”, where he addressed what he feels was a disrespectful way to honor the Mamba memory.

On the show he states:

“I don’t like to speak about a man’s child so I’m gonna speak about the man, and as a man I don’t think Dwyane Wade levels up as a man anymore. And that’s just my opinion brother Dwyane Wade I don’t think you level up as a man.”

He continues:

“You are letting yo woman control yo house.”

As the show goes on Brown praises the late Kobe’s old school mentality of hard work and mental strength, and explains that he is confused by how Zaya’s fashion statement ties in to honoring the Lakers giant:

He states:

“Dwyane Wade if you respect Kobe like you said you did you would have had your son, we understand your son is gay and that’s fine but for that day to honor Kobe why couldn’t he just have worn the godd-mn jersey without turning it into a dress. This don’t make no sense. I thought this was very disrespectful.”

By the end of the episode Brown calls out the entire Black community and asserts that no other people would allow a masculine man to be honored by “a homosexual” in this manner.

“Kobe Bryant is a heterosexual masculine man.”

He says.

 “So I wish you guys would stop disrespecting this heterosexual man.”

Dwyane Wade has not publicly addressed Kwame Brown’s comments at this time.
