Alicia Keys Responds To Janet Jackson Saying She’d Date Her In Throwback Interview: I Always Knew I Was BAE
Alicia Keys found an interesting way to promote Janet Jackson’s new documentary.
R&B singer Alicia Keys responded to one of Janet Jackson’s old interviews, in which she mentions the Grammy Award-winning pianist. In 2008, Janet reportedly told a news outlet that–if she were to get romantically involved with a woman–she’d choose Alicia.
Fourteen years later, Alicia dusted off the shoutout to promote Janet, which premiered on Lifetime this past weekend. Her Instagram post stated:
“I always knew I was BAE But when @janetjackson says it. Make sure you watch OUR Sis, THE ICON’s Doc. #janetjacksondoc#janetjackson.”

Of course, the internet went wild. Rapper Gunna commented:
“For P she turn Pesbian !”

Other users wrote:
“Janet has great taste!”

“Ok. Props for life – the lesbians now bow down to you.”

“Well, hot dayumn!!!!!!! …. Where is the lie? Gorgeous gorgeous women. Yes.”

“That album would be [heart eyes].”

“I think we would all choose you.”

“The confidence to call yourself BAE and then have it validated by Janet must be otherworldly.”

“Gotta love her. But why do we ask such questions?”

“That’d be [fire], Id watch!”

“Swizz on high alert!”
