Britney Spears Is Releasing A Tell-All Memoir, Lands $15 Million Book Deal!
It looks like Britney Spears is back and ready to tell it all!
Reportedly, the 40-year-old pop icon will be writing a tell all memoir chronicling her life, career and family. Britney Spears made a landmark deal with publishing house Simon & Schuster, inking a book deal said to be worth $15 million. According to Page Six, she landed the deal after multiple publishers took part in a bidding war over her book, making this deal,
“one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas.”
Barack and Michelle Obama sold the rights to their memoirs in 2017 for an advance reported to be as high as $65 million.
News of Britney’s deal comes following the release of a controversial memoir published by Britney’s younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30,titled, ‘Things I Should Have Said’. Lynn’s memoir which was released in January, contained shocking claims about the pop star. Jamie Lynn claimed her older sister once locked them both in a room with a knife in hand, and described her behavior as ”erratic, paranoid and, spiraling.” Britney publicly slammed her younger sister, calling her a “scum person”.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Britney had this to say about her sister’s memoir,
“Congrats best seller…..The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk s—t but your f—king lying…..I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me !!!! I wish the almighty, Lord would could come down and show this whole world that you’re lying and making money off of me !!!! You are scum, Jamie Lynn.”
As previously reported, Britney Spears‘ notorious 13 year conservatorship finally came to an end in November 2021, which granted her the power to make decisions about her personal life and finances for the first time since 2008.
