French Montana Settles Sexual Battery Lawsuit Days Before Trial, Woman Alleged Rapper & Multiple Men Sexually Assaulted Her
French Montana settles a sexual assault lawsuit.
Rapper French Montana has settled a sexual battery lawsuit just days before the trial. According to legal documents, both French Montana and “Jane Doe” have reached a settlement. The unidentified woman claimed that she was assaulted inside the rhymer’s L.A. home and filed the suit 2 years ago.
The court order states:
“The court and counsel confer regarding the status case. Counsel informs the court the parties have reached a settlement.”
Jane Doe alleged that French Montana invited her to his home after spending time with her at a recording studio in 2018. The suit claimed that the rapper and his associates provided the woman (and other guests) with drugs and alcohol. During the gathering, Jane “blacked out” and recalled multiple men “coming in and out of the bedroom”. She said that French Montana was “one of the men who entered the room and sexually assaulted her.”
After the alleged assault, the woman went to the hospital and received a rape kit. The exam detected traces of semen. She claimed that the police were informed of the rape.
It’s unknown if the woman was compensated for agreeing to settle the suit, which was set for a March 14 trial date.
The woman was suing for
“extreme emotional distress, anxiety, flashbacks, and depression.”
Sources believe that the settlement will result in the case being tossed out.
