Traci Braxton’s Family & Loved Ones React To Her Passing

The Braxtons break their silence following the untimely death of Traci Braxton.

As previously reported, over the weekend reports broke that famed reality star/ singer Traci Braxton passed away at the age of 50 after dealing with a private battle against cancer. Traci Braxton is survived by her husband Kevin Surrat and their son.

Following Traci’s death, her older sister Toni Braxton, 54, released a statement asking for the public to respect the family’s privacy as they mourn.

Traci’s mother Evelyn Braxton shared the same statement to her own IG account.

Since then, a few more Braxtons have come forward to share a statement or reaction about their unfortunate loss. Tamar Braxton, 44, shared an audio post of the song “Time Machine” by Mia Giovina. She captioned the 15-second audio clip,

“My Dear Traci, come back”

Towanda Braxton, 48, posted a heartfelt message regarding her sister as well and uploaded a picture of Traci to IG. She wrote,

“Our morning ritual, laughing, saying good morning or even watching the same movie on the phone in silence. No one will ever know just how we were as sisters. Behind the screen, living and loving our truth. All of us….being on the phone together for hours at a time. An amazing daughter, a dope ass sister, an incredible mom and an awesome grandma (Bubbie). A SUPERSTAR!! We never missed a beat without saying I love you whenever a call ended.”

She added,

“A hummingbird was at my front door this morning and all I could do was smile- knowing it was you, saying ‘Good morning Umba’. My heart is broken but….Now….God has you in HIS bosom. I love you my forever Traci.”

Towanda Braxton then added the image of the hummingbird at her front door to her IG stories. She captioned the post,

“Good morning my #hummingbird

My forever Traci!”

Traci’s husband Kevin Surrat also posted a few personal images of his wife online as he addressed her passing. He shared,

“It took A lot for me to post this. It’s with A heavy heart I must say I’ve loss the love of my life @therealtracibraxton, due to her battle with cancer, She was my #dreamgirl my #world my #life #loveandbasketball #42 #mybonnie #lifeline #hummingbird #myrock #bestfriend #betterhalf #wife4life #myeverything. I’m lost without you, What am I supposed to do now..May god give me the strength. Thank you for our life we had together. Until we meet again Babygirl ETERNAL LOVE My FOREVER & EVER TRARATT”

Traci’s manager, Cliff Jones, recently penned an emotional message about the reality star on her official IG account. In part, he wrote,

“Out of all the people that I ever managed, Traci was one of those ones that was managing me; she would always manage the whole situation, we put a plan together for her to become an artist, an entrepreneur, an actress and she did everything… she did it all.”
