Rapper Pooh Shiesty’s $3.4 Million Dollar Net Worth Revealed In Court, Faces Up To 8 Years For Firearm Possession
Pooh Shiesty’s net worth might be his saving grace in his recent shooting case.
According to reports, lawyers for the Memphis rapper claim that he has a net worth of approximately $3,449,446. They argue that the rap artist would not shoot a man over a few hundred dollars worth of drugs, and pushes for robbery and shooting charges to be dismissed.
Lontrell Donell Williams, known by his stage name as Pooh Shiesty, was arrested in June of last year for allegedly attempting to rob and shooting a Florida drug dealer. The ongoing case has seen a multitude of changes, including the victim recanting his statement that Shiesty was the person that shot him. As well as Shiesty’s original indictment that reportedly had him facing life behind bars, which was overturned by the court judge after Shiesty pleaded guilty to conspiracy of firearm possession.
Since, lawyers for the 22-year-old artist have been building evidence for him, and using his substantial net worth amount to try for the lowest sentencing possible. According to reports, Shiesty’s legal teams claims that the pre-sentence report issued by the Southern District of Florida contained mistakes rendering the recommended sentence “illogical.” Notably, the defense said the government has claimed Shiesty planned and committed a robbery, then “shot a known drug dealer who knew him well and could easily identify him.”
Reportedly that most recent court filings stated:
“With that said, the Government wants this Court to believe Mr. Williams, with a net worth of $3,449,446, planned a robbery, then committed a robbery, and then shot a known drug dealer who knew him well and could easily identify him. There is no evidence of Mr. Williams involvement in a robbery. There is no audio or even texts discussing a robbery. No drugs or weapons were seized or recovered by law enforcement from Bay Harbor. There are no cooperators in this case. There are no statements of co-defendants.”
Reports also state that the defense intends to provide “ballistics and forensic evidence” proving Shiesty did not fire a weapon or hit anyone. They also claim the dealer in question was facing Shiesty at the time of the shooting, with medical records indicating Shiesty would’ve been unable to shoot the man at the angle in question because he was “sitting in a prone position.”
