Montreal’s Concordia University will offer the university level course for the fall 2022 curriculum. The 13-week course will be opened to Fine Arts students as a free elective. Professor Yassin Alsalman, also known by stage name as Narcy, will be instructing the course titled Kanye vs. Ye: Genius by Design.

The course isn’t solely about Kanye West, but instead encouraging conversation surrounding Ye’s career in design, media and music over the years.
Alsalman continued in the post,
“This class isn’t only about Kanye. It’s about community, creativity, responsibility, accountability, fame and mental health, dreams and nightmares — and more importantly, self-actualization. Welcome To Graduation. Sign up now.”

As a lecturer since 2013, this isn’t the first time Alsalman has taught a curriculum based on a musician. Alsalman has previously instructed on the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Black Star and Lauryn Hill since beginning his teaching back in 2013. Narcy, the Iraqi-Canadian rapper, is expected to release his first single “IRAQAFELLA” tomorrow (March 18).
