Rapper Chika Addresses Critics Who Question Her Mental Health Struggles: Nobody Understands How I’m Feeling

Alabama rapstress Chika took to Twitter to update her fans after previously tweeting about a suicide attempt. She opened up more about her battle with depression and addressed a few hateful comments.

“talking to a depressed person about god is like asking someone with a migraine if they’ve tried tylenol it’s patronizing and unhelpful, pls go the f*ck away.”

“im not trying to be mean or sh*t on the people who are concerned but nobody understands how i am feeling. there is little solace in the words being sent my way. i just want to go.”

“people are going to say ‘stay offline’ or ‘someone check on her’ or ‘take her phone’ and that sh*t is laughable bc that’s the entire f*cking point. i have no one. i don’t care about being judged right now. this is not a cry for f*cking help.”

“and to the f*cking idiots who think everything is for attention, tell that to the f*cking hospital bills i have to pay now. tell that to the puncture wounds in my arms. tell that to the meds in my system. you guys are so wrapped up in clout, you think wanting to die is marketing.”

“THE INTERNET IS NOT WHY THE F*CK I AM DEPRESSED YOU DENSE PIECE OF SH*T. I NEVER EVEN ALLUDED TO BEING DEPRESSED BECAUSE OF THE F*CKING INTERNET. STOP THINKING YOU KNOW WHY PEOPLE ARE UPSET. F*CK YOU.”

On Mar. 26, Chika told her fans that she was suffering from anxiety during a long flight. Shortly after, she posted an Instagram story that detailed a failed suicide attempt, in which she almost jumped from the top of a building.

She later tweeted that she was “leaving the hospital” on Mar. 27.

In 2020, she posted several cryptic tweets that implied she wanted to take her life.
