New York rapper Fat Joe, real name Joseph Antonio Cartagena, can add “Author” to his list of skill sets, as he just revealed to fans his upcoming memoir is set to release this fall.
On Tuesday (April 5), Fat Joe, 51, took to Instagram and shared he will be publishing his first memoir titled The Book Of Jose on November 1, 2022. The memoir will talk about how the Bronx rapper navigated the streets growing up, turned into a multi-platinum selling artist, and became one of the rap industry’s first Latino superstars.

According to Fat Joe, the memoir isn’t just a “rapper’s story.” Fat Joe says in the video on Instagram,
“It’s talking about everything. Police brutality, drug abuse, selling drugs, hustling, getting locked up, getting framed, getting betrayed, depression, hip-hop’s greatest moments, they all in this book.”
Friends and fans have been flooding the All The Way Up rapper’s news feed as they show their support of the novel, including celebrities like DJ Khaled, 46, who revealed a closer look at the memoir’s cover art.

The Book Of Jose will be released by Roc Nation and Roc Lit 101, Roc Nation’s new publishing company launching with Penguin Random House in November 2022. The Terror Squad leader wrote his memoir with the help of veteran music journalist Shaheem Reid.
Fat Joe’s memoir, The Book Of Jose, is currently available for pre-order now via Penguin Random House.
