NeNe Leakes Claims She Has Been Blacklisted, Posts Message About Supporting Black Women
NeNe Leakes is gaining attention after making serious changes to her Instagram page.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 55, described herself as “blacklisted” in her biography and shared a call to action to “support black women.” She did not elaborate and turned off her comments on her message, which was spelled out in a collage of photographs. Representatives for Nene Leakes did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
NeNe Leakes‘ presence in the entertainment world has decreed since leaving RHOA. An original and lead cast member on the show, she left in September 2020 due to failed contract negotiations. However, she has since expressed interest in returning.
“Yeah, sure, I’ll return to the show,” she said in 2021. “I’m OK with returning to the show as long as we can work through a few things.”
Leakes continued:
“I’m happy to return to the show. And besides, I have a lot of unfinished business with a couple of them that they confirmed on the show [during Season 13].”
She said she would first have to have a conversation with executive producer Andy Cohen before returning. But when asked about the possibility of bringing her back, he didn’t seem open to it. He told The Real:
“You know, we are in the midst of shooting season 14 of the Atlanta housewives, and it’s great and Marlo has her peach and Shereé is back, and we have some new faces and some great faces and Kenya Moore is on fire, and so I am really focused right now on season 14 of the housewives of Atlanta and not really looking beyond that right now.”
