“Strange” videos were reportedly uploaded to the accounts, which have since been removed.
According to a report, one video featured a Spanish conman named Paco Sanz. He is currently serving out a two-year jail sentence for fraud after being found guilty of lying about having cancer. Paco Sanz was reportedly seen singing and playing the guitar, with the instrument facing the wrong way.
The posts reportedly featured the hashtag #FreePacoSanz and were accompanied by a message saying, “We will not stop until the political prisoner Paco Sanz is released.”
The video network Vevo addressed what happened in a statement and confirmed the videos had been deleted. It also said:
“No pre-existing content was accessible to the source. While the artist channels have been secured and the incident has been resolved, as a best practice Vevo will be conducting a review of our security systems.”
