Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Breakup Rumors Swirl After Report Of His Alleged Infidelity

Is it over for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky? Unconfirmed rumors are swirling that the pair have called it quits.

It was reported on April 14 that they split after A$AP Rocky allegedly cheated on the Fenty Beauty mogul with footwear designer Amina Muaddi. The two have not yet addressed the report.

It comes just days after Rihanna opened up about falling in love with the rapper, with whom she is expecting her first child. They’d known each other since the early 2010s, but Rihanna kept him in the “friend zone” until 2020, shortly after her split from Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel.

She said in an interview:

“People don’t get out of the friend zone very easily with me. And I certainly took a while to get over how much I know him and how much he knows me, because we also know how much trouble we can land each other in.”

They became close when the world shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, Rihanna said. That summer, they went on a cross-country road trip together, which strengthened their relationship.

She shared:

“I love the simple things but also the grand adventures. [With him], there’s no pretentious my-brand-your-brand bullshit, it’s just us living. I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side.”

The interviewer noted that A$AP Rocky called her during the interview and before they hung up, they told each other they loved one another. A$AP Rocky had previously said Rihanna was the “the love of [his] life” and “the one” for him. Before their relationship, he’d claimed to be a sex addict.

Though the two have yet to address the breakup rumors, social media had plenty to say.

Reactions varied, but it seems like most of it was pure shock.
