Jennifer Lopez To Executive Produce Limited Series Based On Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’
Jennifer “J.Lo” Lopez might just be the epitome of “book and busy!”
According to reports, J.Lo’s production company (Nuyorican Productions), Skydance Television, and, Concord Originals, have teamed up to produce a series based on the well-known story of “Cinderella.” This project is the first to result from a deal between the three entertainment companies to develop original material based on Concord’s library of musicals. The limited series will be taken to potential buyers in the near future.

J.Lo will serve as one of the executive producers for the series, which is reportedly inspired by the 1957 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical adaptation of “Cinderella.” Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical is what Brandy’s notable 1997 “Cinderella” is based upon.
Skydance Television president Bill Bost spoke on the upcoming project and said,
“The story of Cinderella is as timeless now as ever. This aspirational story of romance, unconventional families and the surprising power of wishes has inspired audiences around the world for centuries, and we are thrilled to be working with Jennifer, Rachel, Concord and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization to bring our fresh take to the screen.”
Jennifer Lopez, 52, is most known for being a singing superstar and a successful actress, but she’s no stranger to being behind the camera. She’s produced many films before, including the 2019 film “Hustlers,” the 2018 film “Sister Act,” and the 2015 film “The Boy Next Door.”
