Teyana Taylor Wins Season 7 Of  ‘The Masked Singer’ [VIDEO]

Congratulations to Teyana Taylor for taking home the trophy on “The Masked Singer” as the winner of season 7!

The victory was revealed during the show’s season finale, which aired on Wednesday night (May 18). Teyana Taylor won season seven of “The Masked Singer” after performing as Firefly on the top-secret singing show. During the singing competition that conceals celebrities’ identities, the 31-year-old R&B artist wore a tight black latex outfit and a giant insect-inspired mask.

Upon winning first place, show host Nick Cannon, 41, asked Teyana Taylor why she chose to compete on “The Masked Singer.” She said:

“I was like this would be something really nice to do, and just be able to just sing and it’ll be fun again, and there’s just no judgment. Nobody knows who’s behind the mask. You just get to sing your heart out.”

The choreographer’s latest win comes months after husband Iman Shumpert was crowned the winner for season thirty of “Dancing with the Stars.” The NBA star, 31, was awarded the Mirrorball Trophy after battling on the ballroom floor against fellow finalists. Show host Nick Cannon responded:

“That’s what you did. You sang your heart out and you won. Your husband just won Dancing With The Stars and now you won The Masked Singer. Y’all got all types of trophies at the crib.”

The singer/song-writer replied:

“Yeah, I got to put this next to the Mirrorball.”

As previously reported, Teyana announced a farewell tour in September 2021, marking it her last tour before she retires from the music industry. Although she is no longer doing music, fans can still support the reality star by tuning into her reality series “We Got Love Teyana & Iman,” which will reportedly soon be renewed for a second season on the E! Network.
