Cardi B Gives Update On Why Her Sophomore Studio Album Hasn’t Been Released Yet: I Had Technical Difficulties With My Latest Project

Cardi B is setting the record straight on what’s holding up her sophomore studio album!

Cardi B, 29, has put her stamp on the world of rap and let it be known that she’s here to stay. In 2018 the Grammy-Award-winning artist was featured in Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and in 2020, Billboard honored her as Woman of the Year. She has countless music accolades under her belt as well, including her 2018 debut studio album ‘Invasion of Privacy’ debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. In addition to that, the album is certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

It’s been 4 years since Cardi B dropped her first studio album and fans are hungry for the rapper’s next project. Recently the mother-of-2 took to Twitter and gave her supporters an answer on why it’s taking some time to get a new body of music to them. She said,

“I seen a lot of y’all talking sh*t like, ‘Oh she doesn’t feed us.’ So when I put what I’mma put out, I’mma talk more about it because clearly, I can’t talk about it now. But I really had technical difficulties with my latest project. I had not one, not two, but like three technical difficulties on the music that I’ve been working on that … had to be done and taken care of before I put it out.”

She continued:

“When things come out, that’s when I’mma talk about it. It’s nothing, like, major or crazy. Yeah, we’ll figure it out ’cause I know you guys want that and I’m gonna give it to ya, Ok? Ok.”

Even though Cardi B hasn’t dropped a new album just yet, she has still given her fans singles and features over the past few years. In 2020 she released her hit song “Wap” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, 27.

More recently she was featured on the drill song “Shake It.”
