NFL Star Jeff Gladney & His Girlfriend Die In Car Accident, Police Say Speed Was A Factor [Condolences]

Very sad news. Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney died early Monday morning (May 30) in a car accident in Dallas, Texas at the age of 25.

According to reports, the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. local time. Investigators believe one vehicle was speeding and clipped a second vehicle from behind. The speeding vehicle then lost control and crashed into a pier beam. Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived at the scene to find Gladney’s white Mercedes SUV overturned in a grassy area. Sadly, Jeff Gladney’s girlfriend, Mercedes Palacios, 26, was also with him and died in the collision. The two unidentified passengers in the other car did not suffer any major injury, according to police.

Jeff Gladney was a father to his two-year-old son Kingston, which he had from a previous relationship.
