Are you ready for this year’s BET awards?
It’s time for music and entertainment fans across the nation to gather once again and watch the BET Awards. The popular awards ceremony will air Sunday, June 26, on BET at 8 p.m. ET/PT, broadcasting live on BET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Academy Award-nominee Taraji P. Henson, 51, is returning to host the annual award show for the second year in a row!

Today (June 1) the official nominations for the BET Awards were announced. Rapper Doja Cat, 26, is leading the pack with 6 nominations. Her categories include: “Best Female R&B/Pop Artist,” “Best Female Hip Hop Artist,” “Album of the Year,” for Planet Her, “BET Her” for Woman, “Video of the Year” for Kiss Me More featuring SZA, and “Best Collaboration,” for Kiss Me More.
Fellow rapper Drake, 35, and singer Ari Lennox, 31, earned the second place slots with 4 nominations each. Ari Lennox is nominated for “Best Female R&B/Pop Artist”, “Video of the Year” for Pressure, “BET Her” for Pressure, and “BET Her” for Unloyal by Summer Walker & Ari Lennox.
Drake’s nods include “Best Male Hip Hop Artist,” “Best Collaboration” for Way 2 Sexy featuring Future and Young Thug, “Video of the Year” for Way 2 Sexy, and “Album of the Year” for Certified Lover Boy.
Baby Keem, Silk Sonic, Chlöe, Future, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, Mary J. Blige, and Tems all tied as the third-highest with 3 nominations each. To see the full list of nominations click here.
