Update: Rapper Troubles Allege Killer Surrenders 

Update #1 June 7th: According to reports, a woman stated that she was asleep with Trouble in her bedroom when she woke up to Jamichael Jones punching her in her face. Trouble intervened, fighting Jamichael Jones which led Jamichael Jones to pull out his handgun to fatally shoot Trouble.

After encouragement from his mother, the man accused of killing Atlanta rapper Trouble turns himself in to Rockdale County deputies. 

Jamichael Jones, 34, was wanted for the murder of Trouble, born Mariel Semonte Orr, during a home invasion that took place at 3:20 a.m on Sunday (June 5). Trouble was found in Lake St. James Apartments, about 25 miles east from Atlanta, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

According to officials, Jamichael Jones was involved in a “domestic situation” with a woman Trouble was visiting. Trouble and Jamichael Jones were not familiar with one another. Jones entered the woman’s home and started shooting, hitting Trouble in the chest. The woman has not been injured or identified. 

Jones was arrested at 1 a.m on Tuesday (June 7) in Clayton County. 

Jones has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, home invasion and battery. He was spotted in handcuffs, wearing a green hoodie, after his morning arrest. 

Investigators honed in on Jones which eventually led them to his mothers home. She allowed authorities to speak to her son on the phone. They persuaded him to turn himself in while allowing him to pick the time and place of his arrest, which was a hospital in Clayton County.

The hip-hip community mourned Trouble’s loss and shared their condolences on social media:

A day before Trouble passed away, rapper Meek Mill tweeted:

“Ain’t no telling what tombs news is….. stay humble and ready for it!”

Ironically, Meek Mill quoted his tweet sending his condolences to Trouble.

Trouble’s ex-girlfriend, Love and Hip Hop star Alexis Skyy also shared her condolences on Twitter:
