‘Married To Real Estate’ Renewed For Second Season On HGTV
Married To Real Estate is coming back for a second season!
The HGTV series stars Egypt Sherrod, a real estate broker and designer, and her husband, builder Mike Jackson, as they assist families in purchasing and renovating their dream houses in the metro-Atlanta area.
More than 19 million people watched the first season of Married To Real Estate, which followed Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson as they also juggled flourishing property businesses, managing a home, and raising three daughters.
Betsy Ayala, senior vice president of programming & development of HGTV said,
“This large pick up order is in line with an extremely positive response from fans who had an immediate connection with Egypt and Mike in season one of Married to Real Estate.“
She added,
“They put their own family first and work twice as hard to make their clients’ dream homes a reality—and they laugh and have fun together through all of it. Their outlook on life is an inspiration and everyone is excited to see what’s next for them in season two.”
As previously reported, Egypt Sherrod and Mike Johnson created and pitched the series to HGTV themselves. In an exclusive interview with theJasmineBrand, Sherrod said,
“It’s wonderful to have a seat at the table in a space where you have say and you can control the narrative about your own life, your business, and your family. I don’t think we would have it any other way, to be honest with you, because someone’s interpretation of who you are versus who we are authentically can be totally different, and I think that’s what’s been working.”

Sherrod also shared the news of the renewal in an Instagram post, where she thanked fans for “making out show a hit!” She added,
“Mike, Kendall, Simone, Harper and the rest of our family and staff love you!”

HGTV has ordered 12 new one-hour episodes of the series, which are slated to air in early 2023.
