YG & Tyga Channel The Movie ‘White Chicks’ For New Music Video, + Fans React, Accusing Them Of Shading The Kardashians
Rap artist YG is releasing a new single and a clip from the music video has the internet buzzing!
The 33-second video features YG dancing to the forthcoming record titled “Run”, donning a woman’s face mask, blonde wig, and vibing in a pink convertible. Sitting alongside him, is a similarly disguised Tyga – who’s featured on the song, rocking a black wig, woman’s mask, and shaded sunglasses. Fans all over social media have been reacting to the video since it was posted yesterday (June 22nd).

Many have compared the video to Shawn and Marlon Wayans 2004 comedy film “White Chicks.” In the film, the brothers play detectives who go undercover disguised as wealthy blonde sisters to unearth a secret crime ring. It seems most users, however, were not here for the rap stars impersonating women.

Other users questioned who the inspirations were behind the get-up. Celebrities such as Lil Mama, Wendy Williams, and Lil Kim were suggested. Though most users felt the fellow rappers are mocking the famed Kardashians. If you recall, Tyga briefly dated the youngest Kardashian member, Kylie Jenner, back in 2014. Though the music video get-up seems to mirror the middle Kardashian sisters, Kim and Khloe.

In addition to Tyga, the summer record from YG also features BIA and 21 Savage, and is set to release tomorrow (June 24th).
