Yung Miami Faces Backlash For Publicly Supporting Diddy After He Left Her Off His Acceptance Speech For His Lifetime Achievement Award
Diddy is now a BET Lifetime Achievement Award recipient—and his acceptance speech certainly has the people talking.
The prestigious award honors industry heavyweights who have profoundly influenced the culture, as well as been transformative leaders who persistently motivate generations by establishing the gold standard of excellence. According to BET,
“Diddy has contributed so much to the business not only through his own effort but through the acts he’s discovered and produced over the years; many of home took the stage to honor the icon.”
During his acceptance speech, Diddy thanked a number of people who have impacted his long career journey, including his mother, the Notorious B.I.G., his ex-lover/mother of three of his children Kim Porter, who died in 2018, and his ex-girlfriend Cassie.
He did not, however, thank his current boo Yung Miami of the City Girls—which, of course, sent social media into a frenzy. Especially because she held up a very special sign in his honor.
One Twitter user said,
“Caresha made and held up her sign for Diddy and got no shout out, but listened to him shout out his exes. I know she’s breaking all her nails cussing him out from her seat via text. #BETAwards.”
Media personality Jessie Woo also chimed in, much to the dismay of City Girls’ JT.
That man thanked every woman in his life including CASSIE…. EXCEPT the woman holding up the “Go Papi” sign… #BETAwards pic.twitter.com/LpPFzko77R

In response to Jessie Woo‘s tweet, JT said,
“Bi*** don’t play crazy not a bitch that can be seen touched & identified trying to go viral… ok, alright.”
Though it seemed like a slight, Yung Miami didn’t appear to be very bothered.
In response to Jessie Woo‘s tweet, she said,
“Girl please!”
She doubled down on her support for her alleged man, tweeting, “GO PAPI!” with a red love heart emoji.
GO PAPI!??

Diddy and Yung Miami were first romantically linked when they appeared holding hands at Quality Control CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas’ birthday party in June of last year.
The pair confirmed the rumors in the first episode of Caresha Please, the newest podcast from REVOLT TV, where the City Girls rapper grilled the Bad Boy Records CEO about their romance.
Diddy acknowledged that they are indeed dating, but he is a single man.
He said,
“We go have dates, we’re friends, we go to exotic locations, we have great times. We got to strip clubs, church. I’m gonna take you to church.”
And while both parties may be single, according to Yung Miami, they go together “real bad.”
